Ambassador Denis Antoine Calls for
Synergy Among Media

Washington DC, November 1 - Ambassador Denis Antoine, Grenada's Permanent Representative to the Organisation of American States (OAS), has called for a synergy among the media, the news makers and other key stakeholders.
He was, at the time, participating in a teleconference in Washington DC on Thursday, jointly hosted by the National Association of Caribbean-American Journalists (NACAJ) and the World Bank.
He described the event as a watershed and urged Caribbean-American Journalists to assist in the development of the media in the region.
Ambassador Antoine also identified areas where the media could work together including training and more Caribbean exposure.
The teleconference, organised by the National Association of Caribbean-American Journalists (NACAJ) was aimed bringing Caribbean-American journalists across the United States and the Caribbean to address significant issues affecting journalists in the Diaspora and the Caribbean region.
Among other speakers were President of NACAJ, Ann-Marie Adams; NACAJ Director and Executive Member of the Association of Caribbean Media Workers, Michael Bascombe; Secretary General of the Caribbean Broadcasting Union, Patrick Cozier; Maureen Bunyan, ABC 7, DC; Paula Madison, NBC Universal; and Jose Zamora, Knight Foundation.
A number of journalists from Grenada, Barbados, St. Kitts, Jamaica, Haiti and various cities in the United States also participated in the teleconference.
